Environmental Assessment Process
#1: Share a little information about your particular building and why you are looking for an environmental consultant. You can call us (415-785-7986) or complete this online form. We need some basic details in order to generate a quote for environmental testing.
#2: We send you an estimate for the environmental assessment and any environmental testing that may be required to address your environmental concerns.
#3: If you approve the quote for the environmental survey, then we send over our standard Environmental Assessment Service Agreement for electronic signature. This basic form says we’ll do what we say we’ll do, and you’ll pay what you agree to in the estimate. The Service Agreement outlines our standard limitations, terms and conditions.
#4: Schedule your environmental inspection. We generally schedule environmental testing in the San Francisco Bay Are Monday through Friday, 8AM-5PM, but we can make exceptions for environmental inspections and environmental testing on nights and weekends if the project schedule is limited.
#5: Environmental expert (or Industrial Hygienist) shows up to your building. With environmental testing equipment and years of industrial hygiene experience, we’re confident that our environmental consultant will meet or exceed your expectations.
#6: The Healthy Building Science Industrial Hygienist will perform the environmental assessment and any environmental testing you both agree will add value to the environmental survey.
#7: Environmental testing lab results are generally ready within a week, though some environmental lab results can be expedited and ready same day, and other special environmental testing screens may take up to 3 weeks. The environmental expert assigned to your case will be able to explain the different turn around times.
#8: You will receive an environmental assessment report with highlights from the environmental survey, including any environmental testing labs and recommended environmental remedial testing. Our goal is to provide an easy-to-read report summarizing key findings, comparing environmental testing results to relevant regulatory thresholds, and suggesting ways to improve environmental quality if appropriate.
